Rodney has been in the residential real estate development, construction and finance industry for 27 years. Prior to forming RAM, he was the Managing Director of Mountain Real Estate Capital where he was responsible for new business origination and capital market needs. Before Mountain, he started a real estate investment platform at Cantor Fitzgerald to take advantage of distress opportunities that occurred in the recession that started in 2008.
From 1996 to 2008, Rodney was partner at Spectrum Communities where he ran the land acquisition and development group and coordinated the company’s sale to WCI Communities in 2004. He was a key member of the management team that grew Spectrum from a $25M local homebuilder to a $250M regional subsidiary of a public company. He spent the first 10 years of his career building and developing apartment buildings in New York City for Procida Construction and Development
Rodney graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Architecture and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
John Lincoln, Senior Vice President & Partner, is an accomplished business leader with over 15 years’ experience in real estate investing, management of new home construction operations, finance, and strategic planning. Prior to co-starting RAM, John served as a Director of Acquisitions with Mountain Real Estate Capital where he was responsible for identifying and structuring residential joint venture deals with premier developer and builder partners across the United States. John underwrote residential deal opportunities of various size, scope and complexity, as well as overseeing all asset management activities for the entire life cycle of projects spread across the nation. He had previously founded his own homebuilding company in Charlotte and was a Division President for a regional Carolina homebuilder.
John started his homebuilding career as the head of NVR’s (Ryan Homes) Business Strategy and Finance Group for the Southeast Operations and maintains relationships with many mid-Atlantic homebuilders. Outside of the Real Estate Industry, John’s experience includes serving as the City Manager of several of Hertz Rent-A-Car’s largest national facilities and as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.
John holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.
Matt is a real estate professional with ten years experience in the homebuilding and investment businesses. Prior to joining RAM, Matt spent 5 years at Toll Brothers’ Connecticut Division serving in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Division Assistant Vice President. He underwrote the acquisition then lead operations at the division’s largest and most complex project to date with entitlements to construct upwards of 850 homes across multiple neighborhoods and product types. During his tenure at Toll, Matt oversaw the sales and construction of 300+ homes, representing revenue of over $130 million.
Prior to Toll Brothers, Matt was Assistant Vice President and Asset Manager at Liberty Street Real Estate Group, the Atlanta based asset management affiliate of Lehman Brothers Estate Partners. There, he managed a portfolio of private equity investments in residential land development, condominium and commercial development joint ventures with equity commitments in excess of $250 million. His early career includes project management for smaller homebuilding ventures on the East Coast and direct sales for a start-up information technology services company.
Matt earned both his B.S. in Applied Economics and Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate from Cornell University.
Eric is a finance and real estate professional with eight years experience in the management, investment, and development businesses. Prior to joining RAM, Eric spent 3 years at Walton Asset Management in New York City as a Financial Analyst focused on the Washington D.C. and Texas regions. He managed several large scale, ground-up residential and mixed-use developments, and underwrote the acquisition/divestiture of several regional land holdings amounting to over $50M of institutional debt and private equity.
Prior to Walton Asset Management, Eric was an Analyst with Land & Buildings Investment Management, a Connecticut-based, long/short equity hedge fund focused on real estate and real estate related companies. There, Eric was responsible for all investments in and coverage of Retail, Industrial, Lodging, and Triple Net REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). Further, he also developed and implemented a quantitative trading strategy in addition to research-driven trading ideas.
Eric earned his B.S. in Finance and General Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and has passed Level I of the CFA Program.
